Artist Statements:
Shaped to reference a canoe, our journeys often change direction. Engraved into the bowl are references to diseases. They have come before and will surely come again. These are destructive, invisible forces that travel between peoples energies, most often shared without intention. These challenges are messages that we must work harder to ensure a cleaner future for all.
